Helping types of angels
What help can our angels offer us?
Archangels: the highest-ranking angels, often associated with specific tasks such as protection, healing, and guiding souls to the afterlife.
Guardian Angels: assigned to protect and guide specific individuals.
Seraphim: angels of love and light, associated with purification and illumination.
Cherubim: angels of knowledge and wisdom, often depicted as chubby, winged infants.
Dominion: angels of authority and rule, associated with the exercise of power and control.
Powers: angels of cosmic order and the natural world, associated with maintaining the balance of the universe.
Principalities: angels of protection and governance, associated with the administration of kingdoms and countries.
Virtues: angels of courage and strength, associated with inspiring positive change and overcoming obstacles.
Throne: angels closest to God, associated with the highest level of contemplation and worship.
Angels of Death: responsible for guiding souls to the afterlife.
These are just a few examples of different types of angels that are common in various belief systems.
Now, let’s consider some of the individual angels and what they are known for:
Gabriel, who is known as the “Messenger of God” and is said to have announced the births of John the Baptist and Jesus
Michael, who is described as a warrior and the leader of God’s armies
Raphael, who is known as the “healer” and is associated with healing and protection
Uriel, who is known as the “Angel of Repentance” and is said to help guide people towards the right path
In Jewish tradition, Metatron, is an important angel who acts as the “Angel of the Presence”, the chief of the ministering angels and the highest of the angels in Merkabah and Kabbalistic mysticism.
Some other angelic beings and their attributes are:
Azrael, an angel of death and the recording angel
Jophiel, an angel of wisdom and understanding
Seraphim, an angel of fire and love
Raziel, an angel of secrets and mysteries
Zadkiel, an angel of mercy and benevolence
Sandalphon, An angel who is responsible for delivering prayers to God
